This class will be taught online and you can take part from the comfort of your own home. The RCS campus is open with a limited capacity for degree students only to ensure a safe learning environment for all.

This online weekly evening class is for people age 16+ who are new to acting and want to learn core drama techniques. The course will gently introduce students to the fundamentals of acting in a fun and supportive environment.

There are many essential skills that are required for any drama performance, such as voice work and movement. This module will explore the role of the actor and cover how to effectively use the body and voice in performance. Through games and improvisation you will explore the importance being open, responsive and focused as an actor. Using theses new found skill students will begin to create characters that are believable and engaging.

Throughout the course students will

  • develop ability to be present, playful and aware
  • explore their imagination and creativity
  • collaborate with their fellow classmates
  • develop confidence vocally and physically
