The North East Arts Hub 2019 update

Meetings have taken place between Aberdeenshire Council and the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland (RCS) to review the pilot of the RCS North East Arts Hub and agree the changes needed for the next phase of delivery. Both organisations have enjoyed engaging with young people and communities in the area through the Arts, and are committed to ensuring that the programme continues to evolve to meet local demand and to maximise local talent in the North East of Scotland.

In the next phase:

  • The Junior Conservatoire Foundation Acting programme will conclude in May, however plans are in place to support those already in the programme to continue to develop their skills.
  • The community provision will continue in the form of an intensive creative project and the development of online resources suitable for teachers and teaching artists.
